I've always had this little thought in the back of my mind that some Quaritch followers would be pissed off by his death and take revenge on the Na'vi, but like I said it's just a little thought that I've had for awhile XD

I don't think there were really any Quaritch "followers". I think of Quaritch as "the man in charge of the mercs", but I don't think anyone really looked up to him as a leader... except Jake (in the beginning).

Not to mention that all/almost all of the marines died in the battle... there were a couple getting onto the shuttle but most were people from Hell's Gate - any marines that DID survive would be hundreds of miles away with no transport and wildlife that was actively trying to kill them

Maybe there's a secret underwater base developing nuclear weapons to wipe out the Na'vi so the RDA can just take the unobtanium and go.
 HRH. Maybe not. But JC did say the sequel is going to focus on underwater stuff.

Did you really think they got that far with the thousands of ikran dragging them down, as well as the Na'vi potentially chasing them to finish them off?
Even if they did get back, that would be a couple of helicopters with pilots rather than the actual marines, who all got wiped out by the 'angtsik and nantang  There were a few marines still at Hell's Gate in the control room, I'm guessing that based on the numbers getting onto the shuttle, they were those ones.

I personally would hope to see an avatar 2 movie without humans, there is enough to tell for sure, humans can be back in the 3rd movie, would round up things well in this case

I wonder if one of the small number of humans (maybe even an Avatar driver) allowed to remain on Pandora might turn traitor and start sending secret communications to the RDA using the equipment at Hell's Gate.
