By the time they are practical, probably biologically. Would have to be some kind of battery right now though.

I disagree about UV. Glow in the dark would be better, but UV wouldn't work for me, I go to plenty of dark places but not really any with UV. I would much prefer markings that will work anywhere - plus them being potentially able to be switched on/off is a nice feature.
