No you were not you argued and I quote that the "Permian extinction killed everything over a foot tall and that humans are taller than that" that's not drawing a parallel but drawing upon semantics to try to obscure the argument which is the fact that what we see in the movie does rival the Permian extinction and in in an insanely short amount of time.
