Am in the midst of painting. One hand drying, the other typing. Have made many mistakes, but am enjoying the learning curve. Version 2 (next Halloween or a con or something) should be much better.
Have extended soundtrack playing.

Did a test for my Na'vi nose tonight
 Not quite as easy to actually make as I'd thought but the wax itself is easy to work with and seems to stay on well

And i'll be getting to work on my tail tonight.
Ripping all these cotton balls up into long strands makes good stuffing, for future reference.

Don't like the way the face prosthetic sits so will go without it this time. Note to self: need strong tape next time to hold down nose/ears

To be honest, I'm not big on the costumes. They are nice but I think they should look more real. I don't know if this is too much to be asking, but I can't help but think that.

The premade costumes aren't that good... I haven't done all mine together yet as I'll be going out this evening. My tail isn't that great, next time I'm just going to buy the expensive one, I think, and ears failed

I bought that tail, and it's great. Ears worked out OKish, but need a better way to attach them. Prosthetic didn't use, should have asked Kym Sainsbury what to do... next time though...
