Stephen Lang is given a completely different roll which is completely unrecognisable from Quaritch. Obviously this would be fine as long as the roll is so different that we don't really notice that is is stephen Lang or Quaritch.

It's been done before with movies like Sleuth, Mary Poppins, The Polar Express, The Nutty Professor, etc. Almost always done in a comedic way (even when the character is completely unrecognizable from the other), and the return of Stephen Lang seems a bit far-fetched. Why would Cameron get Stephen to act a completely different role if there's no point or purpose to this except getting a "wow" from the audience after the credits roll?
