Default Art on TV?

I just wondered if there was any kind of program or series that could be considered as a piece of art for its value; in opposition to the junk TV.

I can only think about the National Geographic documentaries; and also about the docudramas, such as "End Day", which shows different ends to our world.

There is a new documentary series called "Life" that is being shown on the Discovery Channel in the US. Its very well done and is interesting to watch. Its all about the different kinds of wildlife, etc that we have. The last one I saw was on reptiles and amphibians. Tomorrow I think discusses fish and mammals I believe.

Other than that, I don't think there is truly any other ones that can be constituted "art". Most tv programs are worthless with VERY little substance .
