OK, then let us just ask the questian, can Jackass, or any other film, be mentally damaging? I do not say it is, I just wonder if it could be.

Do you think that there are any films that can be mentally damaging in one or another way?

Sure they can. Just depends on what your mind is conditioned to see normally; depends on how desensitized you are.

Listen red, I feel the same way as you about this. I do. I'd feel the same if "Family Guy" were made into a movie (dear Lord...), or "Hannah Montana" (oh wait, it was... ). But no point in making a thread about it, seeing as there're probably many people who like the show. Apparently there are. It isn't the same as posting news about the "Twilight" series, which most people here hate (while I, personally, am a big Twilight fan). But it doesn't matter anyway; you can find other people to hate with on IMDb. IMDb is a place where you can hate any movie you want to.

I do not particullary hate Jackass but I at the same time do not see it as an especially good marker for culture or good taste. And having their pranks in 3D does not make it so much better.

And I must say I religiously watch Family Guy every night before bed lol. But I also too love Twilight :3 I love my life. It's full of contradictions.

Yeah, 3D abuse isn't good... it makes 3D seem more of a gimmick... unfortunately, everything 3D I've seen except Avatar uses it
I'm sure as it gets more common it will die off though in favour of realism.
