Noone takes something more than taking back resources that the rich part of the population has amassed through economic manipulation. It is quite destructive for a society if a part of the population amasses the major part of a countries resources. One can see this in USA, a society that starts to break down socially because more and more economic and social unequality.

The USSR was a dictatorship that spent the countries resources on enourmous military expenditures. Also the dream of an equal society collapsed already with Lenin and the forming of an oligarchy.

Real equality can be achieved by democratic means, taxes, reforms and regulations, especially if one can educate people enough so they learn to see the benefits of it.
