Yes, I too have the book, but I haven't had a chance to sit down and really read it yet. I hope to have the chance to soon.

I saw it in the bookstore but didn't have the money for it at the time. i just eat up backstage stuff like that. Especially with this kind of movie where it is so radically different than the finished product that it's a wonder of technology.
Now I'm going to have to get it for sure.

I just noticed, the fourth image down of Neytiri with her hand over her heart... the Ikran's other tsaheylu queue is under her leg rather than going around her.
Interesting... guess it's a personal rider thing.

Very interesting looking book.

Looking at the third image down. Of Neytiri standing over Jake brandishing her knife. The picture on the right page at the top. I'm thinking that's the 'old video game' that JC was talking about when he mentioned that's what the 40 something minutes of deleted scenes would look like.

Actually that image is the 'pre-viz' version that they have to work from prior to adding all the detail in. I've seen images like that before in other movies. Notice the 'markers' at the top and bottom of the image that gives the scene, frame time, etc.
Still want it.

Its probably for protection of the tsahaylu and queue. If its under her leg she has more control of it, and wont go fluttering about violently if it was on the other side... just my $0.02

No, her queue is connected to the other one..the one under her leg is the free one. I just noticed it, one of those odd little details that caught my attention.

I think stuff like this will be seen on the Collector's Edition. I hope so at least.

I just read it. Amazing how much detail and work went into this. I mean, it's obvious it took a lot of effort, but it's even more than I thought. The book is pretty much all about the visual effects, not surprisingly; it would be nice to read more about the writing process and thinking behind the script evolution, but that would nearly all have to come form Cameron and there's only so much of him to go around.
