Just finished watching the entire "Capturing Avatar" watched the extended cut version on Disc 1 and some of the deleted scenes.

Ummm... the movie arrived at about 4:30 and it is now..... after midnight. I have only gotten out of my chair a few times...

Whoooof!
The added scenes are absolutely essential, and the deleted scenes are good story, but I will be happy to read them when the novel comes out.
Holy Guacamole!!!

Good night.

I just finished watching the Extended Version of Avatar and I enjoyed it. I think it brought more depth to the movie but I wished that some of the stuff in the deleted scenes were put in the extended version as well because some of it was very important to round out the story more. Overall, very good Blu-ray. My brother bought it but I'm going to have to wait till my next paycheck to buy it. Ugh, money is tight .

I watched the CE Last night. I don't Know how I felt afterwards. Maybe it's that the magic is gone because I know it so well, it's not so fun anymore. After the movie was over, I couldn't sleep at all because my mind was going though different scenes and music of the movie as I tried to fall asleep, and guess what music appeared the most in my head? Distraction of Hometree.
I got to learn how to watch it in the early evening and have some time to wind down here.

But on the bright side I didn't have serious PAD today because I got to see what i wanted to see in the deleted scenes, seeing Selfrige having his helpless little heart of gold shatter.
(If you have no clue what I'm talking about, go the second to last deleted scene)

As a rule, I never buy DVDs or blu rays discs, but I made an exception for Avatar: CE

Amazing picture and sound quality on my 60" plasma. The bonus features are a real treat, especially disc 2 with the audition tapes of Zoe and Sam AND ILM's version of Jake and Neytiri's first encounter. WOW! What a treasure trove of stuff.
