Default More aware of your surroundings?

Ever since seeing Avatar, has anybody else been sort of more aware of whats going on around them without thinking about it?

Like you are constantly watching and reacting to everything around you more?

Example:
The other day, someone in my class thought it would be funny to sneak up on me and try and slap me. Usually, I would not have noticed and would have ended up with a sore face. But I seem to be becoming more aware of whats around me without thinking about it so I was able to block him almost instantly which before seeing Avatar and thinking about how Humans used to live, I wouldn't have done that.

I have certainly become more aware of how my surroundings effect my emotions. When i'm on the daily commute to college through the city, I feel depressed and isolated, when i'm at home in the suburbs I feel pretty much normal, but still a little bit down, but when i'm out in the local countryside I feel really happy, almost euphoric. It's like it's where i'm meant to be.

I haven't really in the way you described in the OP. If anything, I probably do a bit less as now I spend so much time just thinking of Pandora.

This... I live in a city. Now, particularly in the evening and at night, when it's quiet, I just look around, and it's all so depressing. So grey. It just seems so pointless. It's worse if I look up at the sky, there's just some nasty glow. There should be stars there...

My example was a bit extreme. I am meaning more generally that you have a better sense of what is around you.

Well yes, and I have turned more agile too, like for example I can run down the subway and jump seven or eight stairs at once, or get upstairs without feeling tired. I have begun to enjoy running as well.

I dunno, I don't believe that's something a movie can do (but it's Avatar, it's kinda understandable); anyway, that's just me.

I noticed that too... I live up a steep hill, and there's a shortcut down the side, with a staircase. It has flat parts, which I love to run along, then jump down the actual stairs. There is still one section that is too steep to (or at least, too steep to try without risk of landing on concrete with my face...), but the rest I can now do without a problem. Before, I'd only ever jump a few of them. I also like to jump up them when going up, which is hard work but actually surprisingly fun, must be good exercise too

I do this too haha! Though I have always been a somewhat observant person with most things, watching peoples actions listening around me, thinking of things that could happen in my head before they do so I would be ready etc.

However, what Avatar did for me was help me tune in with my environmental surroundings. Instead of other people, other cars and such, I pay more attention to the nature and such when I go walking or running.

My brothers are into parkour and use to try and get me into it. I don't really attempt anything anymore but the whole "situational awareness" aspect has always stuck with me.
