In fact, I don't even know why it isn't rated R. This is not for little kids. The subject matter surrounding death, decay, sex, and peril was like 250% over what was in the other 6 films combined. I've had to spend a lot of quiet time just to reflect on what I just saw ... Deathly Hallows part 1 was a marvel!
I hadn't actually read your comments earlier, but simply because you had mentioned it was out, decided to go see it tonight! And for the most part your review is accurate~

Even though I haven't read the books in years and therefore forgotten much of the story line, and having been somewhat disappointed with the Order of the Phoenix, was very quite moved and caught up in Deathly Hallows. There was a lot that stood out for me as I watched it. Overall I found it to be back to being what I would expect of the Harry Potter movie series.

Deathly Hallows Part 1. A very, very dark film compared to previous HP films. I haven't read the book so I was taken by surprise by the change in mood for this movie. Though I guess it does fit well with the whole "Voldemort is back" kinda thing.

Obviously I can't judge half of a 4 hour movie so I'm indifferent to the film. Really funny at times, very dark most of the time, not really a HP film IMO.

That's actually kind of what I was thinking... maybe it's because Hogwarts is never shown or alluded to in the first part.

HP7I. Epic. I agree with the other reviews here, it was pretty dark....but then, I felt like it followed the book very closely so I wasn't really surprised at what happened.....although the snake scene was kind of creepy.

I really want to see HP 7 but will have to settle for other films for the meantime..
I agree with HNM though, the Harry Potter films so far have left out a lot of content, compared with what is in the books. It's quite dissapointing but I understand why they would leave the extra content out.

I watched Jackass last night, it's pretty funny.

Naw I hope to see that movie soon, it seems absolutely brilliant!

I watched Jackass 1 and 2 yesterday. Some of the scenes in the second one are cringe worthy.

Toy Story 3. Not as funny as I hoped and the plot didn't live up to what I thought it would be. From the start to almost the end, there was little emphasis of the fact that this was the last Toy Story film. They didn't seem play the significence of that in the movie, it wasn't "big" enough, so to speak. With that aside, I thought the last 20 minutes of the film, from the incinerator scene to the credits were the best of the film. Really compelling and brought a tear to my eye. I must give them they did end the movie very well, it was really the only positive fate Woody and Buzz could've had.

Blood Diamond. Just shows how the jungles of our world and the society in them differ so very much from the world of Pandora. Kinda brought me back to PAD while I was watching it. Great film, always.
