Lol, Tardigrades. That name always gets me.
Of course they survived. Tardigrades, or water bears, as they are often called, can almost completely dehydrate themselves, shrivel up into a wrinkled sack, and come back to life instantly with a drop of water. They are a common resident of temporary ponds, or vernal pools, where they form the food supply for the larvae of many species of insects. But I guess that link just made this redundant, huh? :<
