Interesting enough, at my study group tonight, about learning to listen to the wisdom of the heart, the hostess in our talks mentioned a movie she had watched, and although I haven't seen it, somehow even the title seemed to perhaps offer the alternative, "Eat, Pray, Love" (yeah its a Julia Roberts movie). It's apparently about finding yourself, and having the courage to break free of cycles such as made note of in the I.P.

Have to watch it before I can comment further~!

If that's the case, then that image itself is contradictory. I lumped "buying" in with any leisure activities/free time.

Well, if life has to be in some cyclical form, I'd rather go through one that I choose of, not one that the system pushes me into. The current system wants to push you into the cycle as described in Zenit's picture. If someone would rather live another cycle, or make their own, that's their choice. If someone's happy being a consumer paper-pusher, good for them. If someone wants to be a minimalist and live off the land, good for them. And to anyone doing anything in between, good for them. Your life, your cycle, your survival, your thriving, your choice.

If your life is ending one minute at a time, might as well make the most of that minute in whatever way you see fit to use it. You're going to die your own death some day, might as well live your own life, your own cycle.

So yes, very much carpe diem. You just so happened to be plopped onto this little 7,900 mile blue ball floating through space, go have some fun while you're here.

That's the exact cycle of an apparent 'mindless consumer'. In essence, the stereotype of everyone in the system.

But we all are consumers, whether you're consuming a product, animal, or plant. Its all the same.

Well, we are beings made of matter, so we have to consume some material things simply for survival's sake. Everything beyond that is luxury, things someone could choose to live with or without. How much value someone places on each of these, and how much effort one wishes to put into acquiring each determines what lifestyle they wish to live. To which I say, whatever floats your boat. Que sera sera.

So if you want to speak in absolute and scientific terms, then yes, everyone and everything - even atoms - is a consumer. It is the societal definition of consumer, as defined by the modern economy, that people wish not to be.

Live your life, people.

In any way you want, let it be in routines or with a "seize the moment" and "live as if there was no tomorrow" mindset.

I just point out a reality. How you react to that, is not my business.*

*What is that I like about art, by the way.
