Default Post Avatar Vibe Coming Back, Anyone Else?

It's been almost a year since I first saw Avatar, the weather is getting cold again, and those underlying feelings I had after watching Avatar are coming back. Not PAD or PAE specifically, but just a general underlying...vibe. It's hard to describe, really. A sort of...titulation, I guess one could say. A feeling of having one's head in the clouds, yet at the same time a feeling of enlightenment, of discovery. Of sort of living in a dream world, that dream world. Like I said, it's hard to describe. It's a unique feeling like none I've ever felt before Avatar. I'm sure you guys know something similar, though. Feels good, man.

So, is it coming back for anyone else?

God damn it, an entire generation pumping gas, waiting tables; slaves with white collars. Advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy **** we don't need. We're the middle children of history, man. No purpose or place. We have no Great War. No Great Depression. Our Great War's a spiritual war... our Great Depression is our lives. We've all been raised on television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires, and movie gods, and rock stars. But we won't. And we're slowly learning that fact. And we're very, very pissed off." - Tyler Durden

Yup, I feel exactly the same (and that is precisely why I don't want to watch the actual movie again) - no feelings that can be defined, just... felt.

I know exactly what you mean.

Oh yeah, same here! And to me it is also because of the cold. I remember that the day I first saw Avatar was also the day when it was heavily snowing, and it's a snow storm here now.
Though the feeling is not that strong as I would like it to be. However there's still some time left

Absolutely same here!

Combined with that Avatar Extended is playing in the Imax Theater here (we were the only Imax in North America not to have 3D theater, but now we do, and they are showing Avatar still January).

So for me, one year later, exactly, (I had first seen it on the opening release of December 18th) I get to go 'See' all over again, and because this year has been such a journey of transformation and transcendence, its like all of those feelings, are just heightened right now. I've making the whole day a celebration! I wouldn't say its PAE but I am feeling euphoric!

And no wonder Indigenous peoples refer to the 'here after' as the Happy Hunting Grounds! Has it ever occured to anyone why the bioluminescence dots, on the Na'vi!"

Yes.
I watched Avatar a few days ago, and right now, I'm just overcome. I'm so lonely, so deeply in love, and more than anything, I just want to go home...

It never really went away for me. Just eventually learned how to deal with it a little bit better.

I can also feel what you are talking about Tsyal. I remember how I felt after seeing it. The world was so cold, lifeless, and most plants were dead so there wasn't much foilage (I saw it in near the end of January). That made it especially bad because of how beautiful the bioluminesence on Pandora was. There was nothing that resembeled it anywhere. Just pavement.

I can't wait to see the collectors edition content when I come home for Christmas break, hopefully it will rekindle the flame even more.

It never really went away for me either, just a figure of speech agreeing...

Good to know that it's still with us though

Oh Eywa you are all getting it back too? SO nice to know! I've definitely had it for a week or two now. I sound like a dumb when I try to describe it.. but you described it very well, Tsyal Makto. ..Did I mention I love every one of you?

True, absolutely true ! Before walking in the IMAX Theatre it was very cold, the sky was silver and the atmosphere for me was like my first steps on the ground, it was... a humongous feeling ! After the AVATAR, I walked outside and it was snowing really-really heavy, and it was a little snow on the ground, and it felt for me like I'm taking the first steps in it, GRRREAT !

And now, the season started to be for real, few days ago I was remembering and imagining that a month later, a year ago, I was watching AVATAR and changing my life completely along with this unforgettable experience.

Ìrayo, Sir. James Cameron !
