I believe I was one of the few who watched the full video, and well... geez. I knew you could get served pork or chicken or beef or dog or cat in China, and know exactly how it was made, but that's quite over the limit.

That's the Chinese work ethic for you, not to be racist. Maximum profit for the least amount of work and cost. Therefore, they see the animals and think "take fur; they'll die by themselves."

What sickens me the most, is that they possess knives and other sharp tools, and don't even bother to take a few seconds to euthanize the animal.

I don't think I need to see the video. It might be exaggerated based on the source (ie. PETA) however, I'm not surprised either. China isn't nice to its own people and they have been cited for numerous human rights violations so it is no surprise that they will treat animals just as bad. If this video is true then this is another to add to the VERY long list of abuses that China has committed.

I just wanted to add that it's not really China, as in, the whole country to blame for this kind of thing. The problem is their current economy, very highly affected by western countries.

Those who commit these horrible acts are humans just like us.. Humans even have the instinct.. I don't remember what it's called. It's the will to torture lesser creatures. When it get attached to money things get out of hand.

I blame the Chinese government who is responsible for the human rights abuses and the economy for the abuses against the animals. All together, China has a lot to answer for . As for as the instinct to torture lesser creatures, it can be controlled and purified. That is why it is very important to have a strong moral core so that such abuses will be lessened. Afterall, if we didn't have a moral core then why would anyone be upset with abusing others? Our sense of justice will not allow for torture and abuse. It's wrong, cruel, and evil regardless if it is a human or an animal and you are right that greed adds to the desire to control and to abuse .

I just watched the video. I haven't cried this hard for a long time. I've never felt such a strong mix of utter sorrow, anger and hate all at once. I can't even think straight right now...

Can't watch the video because phone doesn't have flash, but I think I've heard enough. PETA... smells of hyperbole and I never would cite them in an essay, but this doesn't surprise me at all. This is China. If they treat their people like cattle, how can you expect them to treat cattle?
