It was cloudy off and on for me last night. Most were thin cirrus clouds you could see through but then it got thicker and I missed the last stages of the "Japanese Lantern" effect just before totality. Eventually at about 3:00 AM EST they cleared again and we could see a brilliant yet faint copper red disk. I was very surprised by how little light it was reflecting from our atmosphere, I could see SOOO many stars around it. Orion Nebula and the Pleiades cluster looked amazing.
