Wow... I heard the amount Disney was expecting was more along the $50 million range, so they considered it a flop. Heard the news all over RT and IMDb; many are considering it a flop since it didn't meet the expectations of Disney.

I consider it to be a hit, considering it did so well against it's 1982 counterpart, and plus there's a lot of good reviews of the film floating about. But then again, the more who consider it to be a flop, the more likely they'll be right.

Now we see how fast it drops off - I really doubt it will get many repeat viewings at all

The couple weeks leading up to it's release lots of people were hyped up talking about it. but now that it's out, seems to have died off quite a bit. I still need to go see this though

Oh the IMDb boards are very much alive with Tron Legacy... and the Tron thread here isn't doing too shabby either.

I think the title of this thread is an exaggeration but I do feel Tron has done better than most films this year, it's in the spotlight quite a lot at the moment.
Though it won't be one of the biggest box office hits ever. There isn't enough that happened in the film that would make me see it again. Unlike Avatar and Inception where so much happened that repeated viewings was necessary, and worth it! Last edited by Dreaming Of Pandora; 12-23-2010 at 12:22 PM. |

I haven't seen it yet but I want to, only to see Thirteen. She rocks!
It doesn't look to be a movie that I'd watch again and again like Avatar. |
