...^Don't know if you're trolling or not, but I kind of agree. The scene was wonderful, but didn't belong. It's like how great pancakes may taste... but they don't belong with a lobster dinner.

Allow me to elucidate. When T'sutey was riddled with bullets, and plummeted to earth, his surviving to be found is impossible. And the scene where he is falling was a fitting end to a warrior. No change needed. I found the deleted scene tacked on.

It may be a bit of a stretch, but far from impossible.

Especially when it shows him falling through the leaves. After all, he was certainly not uninjured.

For a Na'vi with carbon fibre reinforced bones falling in the lower gravity and thicker atmosphere of Pandora and with a forest canopy to break his fall it doesn't seem impossible at all.

^That. I don't think it's impossible either. As HNM said, though, for a human perhaps it would be... though I'd disagree with the use of the word "perhaps", as I'd say it'd definately be impossible for a human. I mean, it looked like a 500 ft. fall. A man can't survive it, even with leaves breaking his fall. A Na'vi, yes, but no man.

Let me just say that if he can survive being riddled with bullets and multi-hundred-foot plummet then he will likely recover.
Get him a doctor.
MEDIC!!

There have been humans that have survived ridiculosly high falls, 25,000 ft+ and you can survive being shot with 3 bullets easy.

The only thing I don't like about the scene is how it interrupts the flow you know, when Neytiri closes her eyes in tears while holding Jake, and the scene fades to the "aliens being sent back to their dying world", the flow is just perfect. The death scene is like a one more piece of story inside the ending, but I guess it wouldn't be logical if it happened sooner so probably better than not having it.

Tsu'tey scene was necessary imo to find out what happened to him exactly after he fell from the aircraft. One more reason to share some tears and to think forward on keeping everyone you know close to you not only in crucial moments, but anytime !
