I have problems remembering my dreams too...

Often I remember that I dreamed, maybe some very vague detail, but that is all. The ones I remember are either the Avatar ones, or the ones that were really weird

It makes me angry that many of us including myself sometimes can't even remember our dreams. Then when we do, 80% of the time it was something ridiculous and meaningless. They have so much potential to take us to amazing places and have amazing experiences but that is not usually the case.

I am going to make it my point to lucid dream someday. I still haven't actually attempted it. I said a bunch of times I would learn to do so but, no, I never have. It was even on my million mile list of things to do during Summer '10 but I never got to it.

Dreams take you to a different world, and if that means Pandora, I'll stop at nothing. One day man...

A lot of people say that writing them down every morning makes it a lot easier to remember--I tried that and after I week I wasn't able to remember anything. Now that I've stopped, I remember them every night.....

And yeah, I would seriously love to lucid dream. Haven't gotten anywhere with it yet though.

Had this one a few days ago...the first part involves a scene from the SE (so read no further if you still haven't seen it!) I was either a Na'vi or in an avatar body, and standing amongst other members of a tribe. For some reason, I had to ceremonially end the life of another Na'vi, like what Jake had to do to Tsu'tey. After I did it, I was embracing the body in my arms and sobbing something that sounded like a prayer, and rain was coming down everywhere. Soon I realized I was alone with the now-deceased Na'vi. Not exactly the happiest dream I've had.

The dream shifted, though. I was now a human (though I still felt like a Na'vi somehow) and standing in a woodsy pine forest - I thought of it as some place in the Sierra Nevada mountains, which I love to visit. Anyway, I was standing there with Neytiri and one other human, and we were all engaged in a lively discussion about humanity's moral state. I don't recall a whole lot of what was said, but I know that Neytiri (who was my same height, or was it the other way around?) said "Not all skypeople are bad," and she especially seemed to address the other human when she said that.

I woke up soon after, before I truly realized who had been in my dream.

I dreamt I could fly after watching the movie, which is sort of related because of Jake's dreams.

I usually don't remember my dreams, but I occasionally have one that is very vivid and that I remember in incredible detail. I know that I dream in color, and can experience physical sensations such as G-forces. I've even done math in my dreams and awoken to remember what I did, down to the actual numbers.

Of the dreams that I remember, a small number have been lucid dream (I can probably count them on one hand). They tend to follow the same pattern. They start out as nightmares where I'm being chased. Then, at some point, I suddenly realize that I'm dreaming, without waking up. Once I've had that realization, I attempt to fly in order to get away from my pursuers. I generally succeed (sometimes it takes some struggle), then I'll spend the rest of the dream flying around and having fun. It's great because I experience g-forces in my dreams, even when they're not lucid dream (e.g. I've jumped on trampolines and ridden rollercoasters). And it seems to be easier to fly than to run in dreams... when I try to run, it feels like my legs are very weak or like I'm trying to run through water.

I feel like I might've had an avatar-related dream at some point, but I can't remember. It's been a while since I've had a vivid or lucid dream that I remember. I don't know how to induce them... they just sort of happen to me once in a while, with no apparent rhyme or reason.

Yes, at the end of october. Kind of, at least.
I dreamt I was swimming in the bioluminescent waters of Puerto Rico (but it was inside a cave), and in that moment, I could hear the music you can hear when Jake picks up the torch from the water, after Neytiri killed the Viperwolves.
(In the beginning of this soundtrack: YouTube - 3. Pure Spirits of the Forest - AVATAR Soundtrack 2009)

That was one of those times when I hated to wake up...

Here's one I had this morning:

I was on Pandora, just as my normal human self, and I was being introduced to a Na'vi youth, about twelve years old and as tall as I was. Maybe it was at Grace's school while it was still operating...I don't know. Anyways I was sitting on the ground and talking animatedly with this young Na'vi, who spoke perfect English. I don't remember a lot of the conversation, but it lasted a while and we got around to talking about humans, and I ended up mentioning how humans seem to have this natural curiosity and tendency to explore places that are new to them. I looked up in the sky to see if Polyphemus was visible; it wasn't, and I didn't know what it's Na'vi name was anyway, but I was thinking about it and Pandora to illustrate how "We want to find what we've never touched before, what we've never experienced before..."

The young Na'vi completed my thought: "What you never saw before."

"Yes, exactly!" I exclaimed aloud. Because I think that learning to see (however you define that) ought to be a part of experiencing any new world to the fullest. At least, I could say that for all the humans in the dream who cared about interacting positively with the Na'vi.

EDIT: I think I realized I was dreaming after all this, but I managed to stay in it for a little longer, though at that point the dream got really weird and I couldn't hold my thoughts together.

I dreamt I was in Washington DC as a Na'vi and turned the monuments into things from Pandora to the beat of techno music in order to annoy people. I really shouldn't fall asleep listening to my iPod...

*Sigh*

I had another one of these, a few weeks ago, suddenly.

It started with me, as a Na'vi again. For whatever reason, I was inside the Omaticaya's hometree, leaning up against a giant root in some hallway-like structure halfway up the tree, formed by some tangled branches.

I was just staring into the distance, when Jake and Neytiri walked through the hallway. I continued just string into the distance, when they walked in front of me and slightly to my right. Then, they stopped, and kissed passionately.

Jake walked on and up the tree. I had been ignoring them, but then Neytiri stepped in front of me, and after addressing me by name, said:

"Doesn't it hurt to be without another?"

Some of you on here know how I am with this sort of thing. Other say similar things to me at work and school. I usually have a sharp retort ready for them, and that shuts them up.

But not this time. I had nothing; I opened my mouth to respond, and I realized that I had no defense against her question.

After a few moments, she looked down depressedly and went up the tree after Jake.

And it faded away.

If you've spoken with me at any length on IRC, you would see how incredibly spiteful this is to me.

Sorry to hear that... That must be really bad.

I had another recently, just the same one again, of me as a Na'vi standing in side Hometree, before becoming one of the Na'vi, but then I started to wake up and I was trying really hard to get back into the dream but couldn't

I've only dreamt of avatar once, and it was pretty awesome actually;

I have this small wood behind my house, and the dream started off with me walking through it at night. Then i just suddenly had this sense that something was chasing me, so i started running - but as often happens in dreams, my legs kept sticking to the ground and i couldn't seem to move fast enough. I remember looking behind me and just seeing this gigantic thanator leaping towards me, then there was a flash of purple light for some reason and the next thing i knew i was lying on my back looking up at the tree of souls. This part of the dream was quite vivid - i could see hundreds of seeds of the sacred tree floating about above me, and i had this really tingly feeling running up my arms and legs. When i managed to sit up, i saw that i had loads of glowing root things all over me (like jake and grace had when they were being transfered into their na'vi bodies) and that i had blue skin and a tail. The next part was the coolest part - i turned round and saw my own human body, lying down and covered in the same glowing thingies that i was. I remember feeling the most amazing sense of happiness as i realised that i had, in fact, been transfered to a na'vi body.

And then i woke up.
