When in the last 300 years have the Christians run anything on a wide scale, politically? I do recall them being quite persecuted all over the world (China especially; they're killed over there), but I don't remember the political organization that runs the world. Was it the Christian-Politic-Might group?

There's no Christian political authority anywhere in the world. Not even the Pope has any power over leaders anymore. You've been watching too much V for Vendetta.
