Debating is pointless.

I haven't had a *full-on* (One that's lasted a decent period of time) debate in a while... And I fully agree with the previous two posters... (Wow, I've just realised I've really bad short-term memory).

Debates do make me change my opinion, however if I feel that a point of mine is being missed, negated, or thrown away then I just tend to do the same thing and it turns into rather an argument of two zombies going "Uhhh" at each-other.

I've read in group discussions of how certain groups of people claim that they're being unfairly treated due to their beliefs. And I'm truly disappointed to hear that.

Debate in itself seems to be an *all or nothing* principle. You either gain a lot of knowledge, and change some beliefs, albeit not core ones normally. Or you just become hostile and make huge assumptions, resulting in an argument...

This is the blight of humanity. :<
