Na'vi have less in common with nonsentient animals than humans. I have no problem with people having a fetish (I seriously doubt there is anybody at all who has none ), but there is no need to try and justify it. I don't try and justify my tastes to anyone I can get to listen.
Each to their own, but don't try to tell other people they like it too - as long as people with that fetish don't harm any actual animals, I have nothing against them personally. If something exists, it's someone's fetish, but 99% of people keep theirs to themselves and only share it with like-minded people. Nobody has any entitlement to shove it down everyone's throats. I really don't care what people like, but I do object to when someone makes it public for no other reason that 'oh yes, I like this you know'.
