Well nothing in the Universe has yet to defy gravity (an astronaut in space is always experiencing gravity but so is the spaceship, so relative to both them seem to be floating while the more accurate observation is that both are free-falling to the Earth at the same velocity) so it's more finding a new law of nature than advancing technology that's the problem here. The closest thing we ever have gotten to simulating "anti-gravity" is the 'Vomit Comet' and as I stated earlier, it's not actually anti-gravity,
Teleportation. I heard that one atom has been teleported instantaneously from one point to another. I remember if from TV but if I'm speaking BS here I wouldn't be surprised. I don't see how teleportation won't be a reality in the (distant) future.
Phaser/laser weapons. Laser technology is progressing exponentially. I predict in the near future the military will be at least experimenting on destructive laser technology.
