As I slowly approach the completion of this poster, I keep psyching myself out with the things I'm doing.
...Ok, this is the LAST sneak peek I'm showing; promising myself not to keep doing this. I'm just really excited. Here's Neytiri:

I'm very tired. It's about 10am here. I've finished the last of the videos. I've made a complete video showcase of all the posters made so far, except the fifth poster. For that, instead of a showcase, I've made a two-part speed-progression video.
As I said, I'm really, really tired, as I've stayed up all night working on the videos, uploading, writing individual descriptions, making the .gif comparison file... so I'm going to be mean and NOT post the poster until after I wake up from sleep. Instead, I'm posting the YouTube links to each of the showcase videos... and the speed-progression of the fifth poster. Introduction and "Jake Sully and the Tree of Souls" Showcase "Jake Sully and the Quarry of Secrets" Showcase "Jake Sully and the Prisoner of Hometree" Showcase "Jake Sully and the Goblet of Polyphemus" Showcase ... "Jake Sully and the Order of the Omaticaya" Speed-Progression: Part 1 "Jake Sully and the Order of the Omaticaya" Speed-Progression: Part 2 Enjoy 'em. I'm going to bed. |

Awesome work! I love watching these speed progression videos. It also makes me realize how much I need to upgrade my copy of Photoshop CS (1!)--I tend to use Adobe products until they literally stop working.

Oh don't worry. I used Elements 7 with these.
Goes to show you CS isn't much better than Elements, except some of the buttons are easier to use.

Amazing! You put so much work in it... and the result is brilliant! Tsu'tey as Sirius... that made me laugh.
The "have you seen this warrior?" posters are simply great! But wait... Ginny Weasley in the fourth poster? It's Fleur! (right?) Meh, nevermind, THIS. IS. AWESOME!

Well thank you.
![]() And now, finally the moment we've all been waiting for (including me, after getting that much-needed rest ), here it is. The "Order of the Phoenix/Avatar" Poster. This takes the original "Order of the Phoenix" poster and combines it with Avatar characters and settings, set to the title "Jake Sully and the Order of the Omaticaya". FINALLY, the title isn't corny-looking! ![]() This was (obviously) the hardest I've done, where screencapping was a bitch, and I also had to paint a few things manually. The speed-progression above really shows the process of how everything was does done, even though it's too fast to understand. And man, I've gotta tell you... after you've worked with Neytiri so many times in photoshop, you don't see her as a real being anymore. At least, for me anyway. I mean, sure; when I watch the movie I accept her as "there" and love her character, etc. etc., but there are even some small snippets of times during the film where I say to myself in my mind something like, "That'd make a good long-shot." But anyway, the credits are also finely detailed enough to take a second look... especially with the new "RDA FILMS" logo. Not much, considering it's just the RDA logo with the word "films" underneath, but still sort of... interesting, I guess. The "Jake Sully" main title was the most difficult of the title-making I had done up to this point, and even after tweaking it over and over, I still couldn't get it looking just like the original. I also still don't know how to soften the edges... and you don't do it with the "blur" tool; it's done with something else, but I really have no idea what. Any other photoshoppers that know how to soften the edges of something? ![]() The characters are all represented by the original Harry Potter characters, staying consistant with the other posters. Here's the .gif comparison: ![]() Harry Potter -- Jake Sully Hermione Granger -- Trudy Ron Weasley -- Neytiri Ginny Weasley -- Unknown Iknimaya-Scene Na'vi Female Neville Longbottom -- Horse Clan Leader Luna Lovegood -- Mo'at Cho Chang -- Unknown Na'vi Girl The total amount of relevant time spent was approximately 19 hours. If including irrelevant time, which is time spent doing things that did not benefit the poster, like trial-and-error experiments that didn't work out, the true time is somewhere around 25 hours. I absolutely loved every minute of work on this project. Hope you like 'em, and please enjoy the showcase videos and speed progression! ![]() ...And now, ON TO THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE!

Nice work!
For a split second, as the images crossfade, you can see Neytiri wearing Ron's red mop on her head. I, for one, would love to know more about this Neytiri-as-Ron character. ![]() Also: In the original poster, I thought Harry's stance was a little too provocative for a guy holding a wand. He really needed a pair of sai or something! (Not meaning to diss Harry Potter at all, BTW--I'm a huge HP fan).
