From an educated standpoint with an archtype towards a Sustainable Earth:
Extinction is a natural process. Humans, indeed, have a hastened the extinction of many species on this planet thus far with our actions of exploitation, ignorance, and our presence alone. The death of millions of birds would be justified if they repopulated as fast as their drop rate. I'm uncertain of their birth rates but one important thing stands out about their existence: their essential to our biodiversity. Perhaps their just as important as insects to the Earth's Health. For those who don't know, Biodiversity is the span of finite food chains that maintain a region/area and it's residents (of animals). Don't be confused with this term and the term 'Ecosystem', an Ecosystem is all that including the land they live on, it's atmosphere, and it's climate. Biodiversity also has a tremendous bleeding effect that effects the neighboring areas of a local community of species. For example, a pack of wolfs lives in the Wisconsin forests in North America. They hunt for deer, which is plentiful here. In a specific county, two packs of wolfs feed off of the local deer population. One of the packs takes more of the deer the other due to a larger pack size, and now they have to search for food elsewhere, outside of their local food chain. They find deer in the next county, and they eat as much of it as they can before a more superior species takes it for their own. Communities who don't have neighboring areas are called Exotic Communities, with exotic species indigenous to that community alone. Like the ecological community of New Zealand or the French Polynesian Islands. Why I bring this information up is because of how each species has an effect on the 'Keystone' species of an ecosystem. The extinction of one species that is not at all effected by a keystone species will not change the environment, however you need to carefully examine that extinct species if it had any relation with the keystone species. If it did, the keystone species will have to adapt to their disappearance and find a substitute species that did the same job as they did. If such a substitute were not to be found, the whole local community will suffer greatly in due course. Life always finds a way though; some animals are self sustaining and don't rely on the keystone species to exist. You need to think about the environment more than the animals, they are there to maintain the life of the land. I don't like the idea that animals are dieing in mass, but it's natural for death to occur and it's inevitable. The cause of these problems is clear: Human Intervention. Believing that the weather or the Earth is causing these problems is a belief with merit, but without enough evidence to support this claim, we must stick to the most likely cause. The reluctance of businesses and dirty industry is to blame; the action required will need to be from the people because our government cannot function properly. If all nonviolent options are utilized but fail to take effect, drastic measures must be taken to justify the means. The government of our countrie(s) are the only illusion protecting us from the idiot next door with a gun and a chipped toothpick in his brain (my point of view). Without it, Anarchy insues. The FBI could take care of this problem without the country going down as a whole. We just need a 'puppet' in a place of influential power. It's not the first time we've done something like this, look how we installed Saddam into power (I wish it was for nobler reasons, but we just wanted oil when the Saudis didn't give enough to us). It's apparent that the government doesn't care for the sanctity of human life or human rights. Behind closed doors, the eye of power corrupts many for those who want to keep it. Government and industry are meant for one thing only: To provide for the people; for the government: To protect the people. Where is my protection from ExxonMobil when they rack up the prices of oil? Where is that green SUV that was invented in the 70's was entirely powered by electricity but was apparently, 'blacklisted'? I'm enraged with intellectual intent. I want blood. I'm not really a violent man, but if those who can't listen won't, my rage will boil so much that a pizza on my head would be ready in 2 seconds. Violence in Variations; lets have a dance with chaos and end this once and for all. ![]() But the question is boiling on, and where is it coming from? We need someone who'll rock the boat. Hugo Weaving said in National Geographic, in his rhetorical monologue in "Beyond the Movie: Lord of the Rings" Quote:
