Early this year, there will be a new film out on the crisis of civilization. The authors have looked at different fields of study and combined ecology, economy, industrialization, global politics, terrorism, social uprisings, the energy crisis, food shortages and more into a holistic view of the connections between them. Like how the decline of oil and emergence of biofuels increases food crisis which can cause social uprisings or how climate change and terrorism connect. It promises to be a very interesting documentary. The author states that "industrial civilization is now reaching a major tipping point"... he seems to conclude that industrial civilization as we know it (with perpetual growth, unconfined use of the environment as a resource,...) will not last to the end of this century.
Here is the trailer on their website: Watch The Trailer The film will be free to download. It is based on the book "A User’s Guide to the Crisis of Civilization: And How to Save It" ![]() I am not so sure about the "how to save it"-part, but let's hear what he has to say. Greetings Aurora

Only when we loose ourselves in the stories they have the power to control us. Our culture got lost in the wrong story, a story of death and defeat, of opression and control, of separation and competition. We need a new story!" |
