Default World's first dark sky community
AFP - Channel island named first 'dark sky' community

Sounds really interesting. I love going to places with no lights for miles around and being able to see nothing but stars and the Milky Way up above. The desert areas of southern California are great for that sort of thing; I once saw the Leonid meteor shower there.
