That is a huge generalization and misinterpretation, Alex.
I love nature. I play games where you literally destroy all nature on Earth.
Just like with movies, art, books or anything creative, people interpret games in different ways. Everyone sees their own meaning - in everything.
Thus, what one person sees in a game can differ completely from what another person sees - and saying "This game holds no meaning to xxx" could really offend people. Not to mention, be completely incorrect.

Besides, keep in mind that Avatar features A LOT of environmental destruction.

Battlefield franchise is the best franchise of all time, it allows you to be on Sea land and air with big environments. Bad Company featured the Frostbite engine which allowed destruction, and now it was upgraded for Battlefield Bad Company 2, and now Dice(if you dont know the company well now you do) is going to break ground with there new frostbite engine for Battlefield 3 which has U.S. and M.E.C. in a fictional war. Countries fighting for each others land, and resources is how it always was in the Battlefield franchise.
Greatest theme is the Battlefield theme its like a hybrid of Terminator(badass) and words that cant describe the battlefield theme.

I am looking forward to this game. I really haven't liked the BF games since BF2, 2142 was alright but just having the gunships left something to be desired. I really liked having the use of warships in 1942 and I would like if they could somehow bring this back. I'm also glad they are bringing back 64 man maps for PC. I really miss those mass teamwork battles with different manuevers, flanking, and using different vehicles to create and edge in a push.

yeah I will probably get it and hope it runs on better servers than BC2 lol, can't wait for big maps and all, but I read somewhere that it will feature some claustrophobic city levels, which frankly doesn't sound so exciting to me.
