TOS is no longer a home for me. I've been hurt here in a way I didn't think was possible.

Many of you are good friends, and I will miss you. But I cannot stay here anymore. So its time to say goodbye.

I didn't even see the thread until after replying...
I understand why you're hurt about this, and it's your choice really, but I know that sometimes people say things they really didn't mean, and they had no idea of your situation. Remember when someone gets you down, they know nothing, particularly if they weren't intentionally doing it.

Even if I can't convince you not to go (not that that's my intention here), I'd like to say that one comment, made in the heat of the moment, does not mean everyone here has a problem with that, or doesn't understand.

I don't say this lightly: when I first saw your post, I thought it was tied in to today being April 1st. I poked around a bit and saw the thread that (I believe) led to your decision. Hmf, see what happens for a misunderstanding. Shatner tried to help but fkeua saw it as an attack. And so the flame war began.

I'm sorry for what has happened, specially for Shatner who is actually ill. If I could I would have done everything I could to avoid this. Anyway it happened.

After reading the thread in question, Shatner, It doesn't look like Fkeua was trying to insult you. He probably wasn't aware of your problem. Please reconsider. I know this is a very touchy subject but please try to work things out instead of just throwing in the towel. You give many good posts on here. I hope you are able to get some help soon. I know it is not fun to have an illness. I have a very dear friend of mine who also suffers from mental illness. I know what you are going through. My thoughts and prayers are with you but I do hope that you reconsider.

Edit: Losing you is like losing a valuble member of a family. Each person here has a special place in my heart, no matter how many new people join, they will never fill the void in my heart where you once were (if you have completely made up your mind, please I pray you don't). Those new people will have a new place in my heart, but you have one special one. I don't look around at post authors and think they're "just another person" no I think of each one of you as a person who has a different life, someone experiencing life in a way different than mine, with their own hopes, dreams, and maybe some problems in life (I believe we all have at least one problem in life). Thats what you are in my heart, a person whom I have had a conversation with, someone whom I was (and hopefully still am) going to meet in the Avatar Retreat. Things like this, people leaving, sometimes I cry because the sadness can be overwhealming.

Losing a family member is not easy, I hope we won't lose you.

Shatner, I really hope that you will reconsider your actions, please just take a short break and return. You cant let one person drive you away when there are so many people here who love you. Always remember, this is only the internet man. When someone does something (not sure what happened) just ignore it. I hate seeing all these people who are like my second family leaving

I know Gunny . It seems weird but it looks like he is gone for good. However, I think he is still on the AF. Maybe someone who knows him more can talk to him on there. Perhaps clear some things up??
