Default It's Over 9000!

More specifically, it's 10,000. Pixels on one side. This is IMAX-level (10,000 by 7,000), except mine is only about 5,000 pixels tall since no more are needed to show it. The image is about 7MB in size, while the PSD is 660MB. The raw VRImage is 1.7GB.

Some members here might be aware of my previous CG-work (which looks like direhorse excrement compared to this). Believe it or not, the actual render and conversion of files from VRImage to EXR, to PSD to JPG took less than 30 minutes. Quad core CPUs FTW.

Nevermind, the forum did it for me (resizing thumbnail).

Edit: Updated with new image.

I did it wrong (there's corruption along one of the edges and I forgot the trench details). Re-rendering...

Rhinoceros 3D 4.0SR8 and V-Ray, to be exact on software.

Thanks to some constructive feedback on Scifi-Meshes, I've redone the guns (the original appearance was like a "gun-boat" in the words of one poster, rather than a stately and elegant capital ship). Here is the result.

What you can't see are the weapon batteries on the bottom (4-3 arrangement--four quad turbolasers with three single ion cannons per battery). There are 16 batteries total including those visible on the top, plus eight more ion cannons and 24 additional quad turbolasers in the trenches. The total is thus 88 quad turbolasers and 56 ion cannons. More than enough to defend the space lanes.

wow nice model! Sure looks detailed enough.
You should consider making the texture with some wear and tear, bit of rust, damage and dirt of earlier space battles, would look awesome i think
