Yes, I think I have a title somewhere that uses VC-1. Relic from the HD-DVD era, methinks (as with most MPEG-2 stuff).

For manipulating the movie in Adobe Premiere (mainly to produce the anaglyphic 3D version) I re-rendered Avatar as 50Mbit/s MPEG-2 (hence making it much larger) because it edits about 10x as easily. Lots of software still hates H.264, unfortunately.
