For more information (extensive) refeer: http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Na'vi/Pronouns
Pronouns - who? - basicaly marks "me, you, them" Those are very useful, and I'm sure you'll use them a lot. So... This is only a basic pseudo-table of pronouns. You won't really need more now. Oe - I (me) nga - you (2nd person) po - he/she (3rd person) fko - one (eg. : "One must learn much") Let's revisit a phrase we all know very well. Oel ngati Kameie Oe-l nga-ti Kam<ei>e I See you Yellow color marks the construction of the sentence. For now let's focus on two words: Oe, nga. The exact translation is: "I you See". Pretty strange, eh? Why is it written like that? The point is... that Oel Kameie Ngati would be a valid sentence too. It wouldn't sound too good thou. Na'vi language is very flexible. You can freely move the words around. The only important thing is to use the prefixes wisely! Kameie ngati Oel is also a good sentence! You are already close to learning the most important basics! I will now introduce an important verb now: to be lu - to be It is important to memorise that one. Let's try to make a sentence now. You are a brother Nga tsmukan lu You brother to.be So basicaly we've said that the person we are talking to (2nd person - nga) is (lu) a brother (we can't say that he's our brother, because we still lack knowledge of some prefixes. Those will be intruducted in time.) An experienced Na'vi speaker would suggest adding a -ya suffix, but it's not important, since the information is preserved, and also, hypervalidiatity (I'm sure I spelled it wrong lol... I meant 100% good, without mistakes) is also a mistake! As I mentioned before, no one can perfectly speak their language. To memorise: oe - I/me nga - you po - he/she fko - one lu - to be (is) UPDATE Forgot to mention that you can connect the pronouns together. oenga - Me and you ngafo (nga+po (lenition)) - You and her/him oefo (lenition) - Me and him fo (ayfo) (lenition) - They (many he/she (3rd person)) etc. Quick-link To Lesson 7- http://www.tree-of-souls.com/navi_la...nd_female.html
