I actually like cliffhangers for a change. Sure the waiting is gruesome, but if the end result satisfies you ur like, "This was worth the wait." Just not on avatar. Avatar is its own ball game.

DITTO! I like the thought that anything is going to be possible and I would just like with the first, I don't want to know any info on it at all till I see it in the theaters. HAHA

Yes, I agree -- this is great news! Good on JC for wanting to donate a portion of the films' profits to environmental charities.

It's certainly true what one of the comments on that article said: It's not like it wasn't obvious that Avatar [1] was based, in part, on "underwater" (i.e., with woodsprites fashioned after jellyfish, etc.). So JC has some fantastic work cut out for him, I think, to come up with an "underwater" Pandora that doesn't simply emulate the on-land portion. Of course, I'm excited to see what comes of this!

I'm fairly sure that it won't be mostly or entirely underwater - there will be some shots, yes, but having it all underwater is not only very difficult for the storyline, but causes huge issues in terms of the Na'vi, as they are mammals which live above ground.

Yeah, he said that in an interview. He said that the underwater thing will be just a relatively small part of the whole, since he stills wants to focus on the characters and things like that
