These are the Christians I like, they realize that the Bible is a story book that teaches you lessons about how to live a good life and are willing to question the world around them. Although I do have to say that these seem to be the Christians who are hanging on to God as sort of the last string in their religion. Like they are one thread away from being agnostic (although as an atheist I kind of like this).

Most of this describes my views basically except that I am perhaps slightly more "conservative" in one or two of the areas listed.

I fear that the author refers to "questioning" as meaning "disassociating from all major Christian teachings, and usually rejecting them, only to accept the basic tenants of Christianity as fact, and ignoring everything else because it seems against the modern interpretation of 'normal' and 'accepted as rational'".

Well... yes... but then even the most blindly faithful use their brains. They just use them for different--and often equally relevant--things. Actually, drawing a line through the Bible and devising a consistent philosophy that explains which portions align with your own beliefs and which do not is probably more work than most consummate non-believers undertake to achieve escape velocity from religion.

Ohh of course. I didn't mean it that way, sorry.

I think I may feel comfortable labeling myself as this. I think I do question things more radically than most people.

I guess this label fits me well (more so a year ago, now I am moving toward exploring my own brands of spirituality).

Well, if someone really wants to believe in something, it's a good way to do it, I think. Far better than being unquestioning anyway.
