Chapter 1 – Ethan Mars - Prologue.

Saturday. 11:22AM.
Ethan feels the sun on his face. Hot and comfy in bed. He sits up and rubs his face and runs his fingers through his hair. He looks outside. “What a nice day.” Ethan stands up and opens the glass door and steps outside, putting his arms on the railing of the balcony. Fresh air, blue sky, green grass, … All a human needs. Ethan goes back inside and stretches. He walks to the door and sees a note on the ground. “Gone shopping. Will bring the kids home from school around lunchtime. Don’t work too hard. I love you. Grace.” Ethan smiles and puts the note on the bed and opens the door. Merlin, the bird, is as happy as always. Jumping and flying around in his cage. Ethan goes to the bathroom and looks in the mirror, feeling his beard. He pushes himself away from the mirror and takes off his underpants and goes in the shower. Cold water over your body on a hot day. Ethan gets out of the shower and takes a towel, dries his hair and body and takes a clean boxershort and puts it on. He walks back to the bedroom and opens the drawer, takes a pair of jeans and a shirt and gets dressed. Suddenly, a car drives up to the house. “Grace is back.”
Grace opens the front door while Ethan walks down the stairs, he walks up to her and takes her shopping bags and gives her a kiss. He walks to the kitchen and puts the bags on the table, at that moment, the kids, Jason and Shaun, run towards Ethan.
