Those are pretty much jokes. And the rappers call them "Donks". Probably 'cause they look like donk[ey]s with chromed legs
I used to modify such cars in SketchUp, but gave up quickly 'cause they look ridiculous. In Bucharest there are only two "species". A 300C with 24 inch rims which look like cr*p, and a 75' Impala which also looks like cr*p with those "chromed vinyl discs" under. @ RussianBear : probably they can be lowered, or there's a "stair" like mechanism which comes down and you sit on it, they it brings you up I don't see other solution. Maybe jumping. Learn to do tracing to jump in that kind of thing... 1. 1962 (I guess) Chevrolet Nova SS. ![]() 2. 1983 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz (I made it like that and then I thought it looks like "Big Ron's Caddy" on Pimp My Ride TV Series). ![]() 3. Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Concept for Transformers 3 Movie (I can be proud of this one 'cause I made it from scratch, the whole model without any blueprints and only in SketchUp). ![]() @ tm20 : I saw that 84 Caprice in a picture from SEMA, few years back. It had more charm at its time, now it's full of dust and rust. If you want a serious classic which can be used as a street car too, a Chrysler NewYorker or a Pontiac Bonneville are great. ![]() ![]() These look pretty similar though, but the Pontiac is much sporty than the other. Snoop Doggy Dogg owns one and he's proud of it, maybe that's why he didn't change it through years. The other car he owns and it's greatness is a '65 Coupe DeVille. ![]() ...this is one car that will never lose its charm, in centuries. I think it's the best looking Cadillac after the '59er Eldorado.
