Default Anyone here create duplicate posts on AF?

Anyone here make duplicate threads on AF? I know that sometimes I make the same posts on here and on AF because I want my message to be heard from everybody.

I'm not going to flame, but I really think that we should just unify this thread and AF. From what I've seen from the posts, I don't think there are many trolls on that forum, and even though their opinion may differ from ours, I think they're expressing it in a fairly respectful and docile manner.

They are different forums and have different ways of running things and should remain separate.

Nope, I no longer visit AF... wish I could transfer all of my posts over here.

I only visit that site to PM some distant members that don't come on daily. I've abandoned AF forums. It's all here now tuts.

^THIS.^

I still go to AF for the fan art sometimes, and for any good Avatar-related news (rarely, however). I double-post any new captions I make, and I double-posted my petition thread. But besides those things, that's about all I do on AF anymore.

AC130StandingBy, it is not only the members that differs between the forums - it is also the management, the size of the forums, and several other things.

ToS is a smaller, closer community, and AF is a larger, broader community. They are different.

Meh, I try and visit to catch up and occasionally post but it's just changed so much that it no longer feels like it used to. It's a damn shame too cause prior to a certain *event* it was doing pretty good IMO. I really hope one day it gets straightened out over there because I don't want to give up on AF.

But to the original topic of duplicate postings, I don't see the need. The fine users at ToS provide all the response I need

This has been a matter of great contention recently. Other users have also been suggesting such unity without actually suggesting any type of solution. The fact of the matter is this is a very different community than AVF, as Eltu said, and also that our wonderful admins have sunk a lot of money into this forum and are not going to shut it down.

I rarely go on AF now. It just feels so different, not at all like here. This is my home.

ToS and AF will never be merged, they are far too different. AF is a business now. Not to mention that personally, if we did, we would be ignoring the reasons we had to start ToS in the first place, and I know that I don't want all the effort and money I put in to be wasted.

I agree that AF doesn't feel like home anymore. I still check on it from time to time but I rarely post there at all. I enjoy it over here much more now .

I've made a duplicate post, just one I think. I spend more time here than at Avatar forums now. But I am an active member of both.

I am active in both places, well really just here and when I think of it check in at AF to talk to others that didnt come over. But the management is to different over there to merge. I would rather them stay separate unless we could make or admins and mods here the new management at AF

I have one thread maintained at both places - my fanfic (which needs doing, after all my schoolwork that is). Everything else is here.

As far as unifying them, A-F is a business (which is Lon's choice). This place is not (which is how we want it). While there are certainly people who are gung-ho for unification, it's not going to happen in the immediate future. Not with people still sore over the reasons for separate forums. This ill will may fade in time and be replaced with a strong drive to unify, I don't know.
