Whoa, that's what is bothering you ? Try to put her out of ecuation and like the movie without any problem. I had to deal with more than 23 people from college or FB or instant messaging about how they did not like AVATAR and I was just "Aham... wtv" because most of the opinions were unfounded and just throwed to get some attention or sort of something... If she thought the movie wasn't to be liked maybe she just WATCHED and period. It's a difference between WATCHing and SEEing the message of a movie, between talking a**crack to take attention and to say something based on something that you support and think is constructive.

True friends... C'mon. I had this discussion today twice with some friends of mine. It's hard to find a TRUE friend because most of them are TRUE when you help them and FAKE when you need them. And that's all there is to it... Sorry to hear about... that, it's not your fault.

Irayo ma 'eylan, I know I am not the only who has encountered the AVATAR HATE SLANDERING or BASHING but I have been very fortunate to have REAL friends who respect my interest and love for AVATAR and never say a negative thing to me about it.

I loved what you said above as you are so right on the money, there is a difference in watching and seeing. She is just a typical "sky person" basically. HAHA I really don't care what people think about me or my interests. I am confident in myself and happy so that is all the matters to me. If someone feels they gotta bash someone else for the hell of it, THEY have the issue.

OH......and to make things even more funny and hilarious, this skxawng ’evenge actually had the nerve to post something on my wall today that was somewhat NICE! OME! Seriously? Are you kidding me??? Un-f****** believable!! I just laughed about it!

Yeah, it can get a bit annoying. It isn't even just people disliking it, but when it comes from friends, people who you would generally expect to be able to put small differences of interest aside.
I have quite a few people I know from AFK on there, who have generally been OK with me and Avatar, but a few people just haven't. I really couldn't care less about most people, but when they are people who I know, people who, ironically enough, share other interests with me that many people do not and are confident enough to state those openly, but they have a problem when I do with something they don't... I did think they were better than that.

So because she said she hated Avatar... You now dislike her.

...

And you laugh that she posted anything positive at all.

...

I'm truly disappointed in somebody here, and its not your friend.

No, it wasn't the fact she hated Avatar, it was just unnecessary to do, plain and simple. I would never just go and post something on someone's wall or post whether it was a friend or not. I didn't say anything rude to her in regards to her opinion and I didn't make any negative comments back to her, send nasty emails, nothing. It was just a situation of something that just didn't need to be said. It was just in poor taste to do what she did knowing how I feel.

And as far as your comment above, it was two-faced that somebody could post a negative comment like that then turn around the next day and post the complete opposite. I don't see how I could not laugh at that, doing the double standard and I don't see how I am the "bad person" in the situation. I am a little surprised though that you are attacking me on this as I didn't do anything wrong here but defend myself. It's over, done with and I have moved on and I am not concerned over this matter any longer.

Irayo ma James. I appreciate your kind words. Yeah that was the real sad part that it was a friend I knew all through Jr. High and High School. I don't hate her and I didn't say not 1 word to her at all in regards to that situation. It wasn't worth getting into a big confrontation with her over and decided to just stay neutral.

Hugs for you ma tsmukan.

Tbh, I doubt she gave it a second thought. "Oh, I hated that movie." Opinion, perfectly valid. I hate Kesha. See? Opinion. If a friend liked Kesha, I would not hesitate to post a response "I hate Kesha".

She didn't attack you, or the movie. She stated an opinion. And now you think that them posting ANYTHING positive is bad. That's childish, and that is my opinion.

A statement can be done with a reason. This implies you can like X because and dislike Y because. Too much philosophy in that anyway, because people use to say things just to be heard. Anyway, I'm not going on with this BECAUSE it gets on my nerve already... indirectly.

I agree, it is the best to follow your own path and do the best things for yourself. HATERY made us what we are today... and we like to call ourselves "Humans". And I'm not hating my race, we can change, just that in a very long time.

I really like the way you put things, really in their place The good thing is that you walk on by and it's the best way.

Something can be done within reason, and not. There's a difference.

Well, something quite amazing happened when I got on FACEBOOK today. I got an apology from my friend who made the comment on my post on Monday. She said she felt very bad for the post and didn't realize what she had actually done.

I thought that was really nice of her to do and of course I accepted her apology and let her how much I appreciated it. I never did say one thing to her in regards to that post on Monday as I just wanted it to "lay there" and hope for the best outcome and sure enough the outcome paid off in a positive way.

I guess sometimes it pays to have good friends who care about you, that will stick up for you and good friends who can recognize when they make a mistake no matter how small or how big the issue may have been. I appreciate all my blue clan for their input as I actually learned a little life lesson which is always a good thing. Eywa ngahu ma smukan si smuke. Nga yawne lu oer.

Tbh, it sounds like your "within reason" is one and the same with "what I like". Kesha's okay to hate on, but Avatar's not?
