grr I thought this topic was dead.

but alas it lives!

I'm not for banning religious talk, just the type that isn't actually meant to be informative/debate worthy/intellectual.

Religious topics will not be banned from ToS in any way.

The community voted on this very topic, and we decided to allow this in all its forms. And that is final.

As for my personal opinion - start banning topics because they lead to arguments, is like a government imprisoning its people if they want to change something. All kind of discussion can lead to heated debates - and this doesn't have to be a bad thing at all - rather the opposite.

Eltu - so if people decided they wanted a change, you'd hold the original decision against them?

Banning religious discussion puts a cap on all discussion across the forums. We knew it then, which is why it was voted for, and we know it now, which is why it remains.

Without it, it couldn't be made fun of, which I know some people here enjoy doing, so everyone should be glad such discussion is allowed. Am I right? Of course I'm right.

Now let the thread die.

But in all seriousness, we've been down this road before. There have been other topics that have caused MUCH more drama than religious discussions (politics comes to mind). If we banned everything that was the least bit controversial, we wouldn't have much to discuss on these forums in the first place. I don't get why this topic has to be so touchy among so many people in the first place.
