It's on my to-do list (like, uh, everything else), but if my current rate of headaches continue, I'll probably get it done sooner rather than later. Hopefully if I need to change lenses I can keep my frames - I'm really fond of them. And good news on the good, and oh, dear, on the bad. That doesn't sound fun at ALL.

(not to mention if I had to wear contacts, I'd freak out)

Yes, but things! On your eyeballs! *FLAILS!* *may be slightly irrational on this point*

Also I like how I look with glasses, but that's pure vanity.

Oh, I much prefer contacts.

I'm sort of useless at school without them.

I used to have glasses, they looked terrible. I lost them in a snowball fight a few years ago anyway. :P

Contacts here -3,0 on my right side and -3,5 on the left. Only started to wear contacts last august. Definitely like it more than the glasses.

Do you guys have monthly or daily lenses? (I got monthly)

Woohoo! With -7.0 and -5.5 I'm winning in the bad-eyesight competition! <mislays both glasses and contact case then falls down stairs>

That is one of the reasons why so many of us are short sighted. I have 20/30 vision now, but that's because of months of vision training. I used to wear glasses but now I don't really need to wear them. Who really needs to listen to what an optometrist says anyway, they need to sell you glasses.

Errr...yeah! I've been wearing goggles all my life! I think I was born wearing glasses! Not sure what correction they are though, but I can see now...although I'm colour blind too and have a dodgy left eye that required eye surgery when I was ...errr....3! 'Ere's me with my glasses!

I wasn't born wearing ear defenders though!

I have always had a good vision. I wonder what I'd look like with glasses

I once tested some glasses, +1 or something. It was like zoom! . Though, I could see things only up to 3 meters.
