![]() As for lenses (long conversation ), most types (the larger soft ones) are extremely hard to actually lose if you have them in right, because in effect, they stick to the eye, although if your eyes are watering a lot due to allergies or similar or the lens is damaged (they can get small splits in them fairly easily if you aren't careful) then it is easier to lose. The main way to 'lose' them is dropping them while putting them in or taking them out, due to being small and transparent, but you soon learn to notice them on the floor.I love them, both because I prefer how I look without glasses, but for the practicality as they let me run, mosh, etc, as well as a wider field of vision than glasses (and won't break). Water is fine as long as I don't try to open my eyes underwater too. Taking them out before sleeping is only a minor inconvenience, and I have fallen asleep with them in, which isn't particularly bad, just makes your eyes feel weird the next morning, although it is not a good thing to do regularly.
