If I'm incorrect, and you've also gone through grief and trauma concerning an abortion a woman close to you had, yet thought it was the best thing for her, then I'd agree that your opinion is just as valid as mine.

The only reason I commented against your opinion before was because I hadn't known that you knew any woman who supports abortion in the case of rape, based on her own personal experience from the event. Had you told me, I would've backed off.

Well, concerning the issue, and the following one you brought up about pain, the resources cited in support of the arguments throughout the article are as follows:
  • Valman and Pearson of The British Medical Journal,
  • Reinis and Goldman in The Development of the Brain,
  • Dr. B. Nathanson, a former abortionist, narrating for "The Silent Scream," (which includes video footage),
  • Liley and Day in Modern Motherhood,
  • Lubeskind of The American Review of Psychology,
  • Patton in Introduction to Basic Neurology,
  • Gianelli from American Medical News,
  • Fisk of The Lancet science journal,
  • and twenty-nine area-credentialed professors from various colleges and universities.

...Yeah, pretty unreliable.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this debate over whether or not aborting a child conceived through rape is right or wrong?

I did look into the details. The statistics aren't wrong. This article, all in all, is pretty-much saying, "The statistics are correct... but they give off the impression that more people are pro-life and anti-abortion in all cases." Not to me, they didn't. The statistics show that the majority of people in America only support abortion in certain circumstances... and the article basically stated that the statistics show that the majority of people in America only support abortion in certain circumstances. If you closely examine the article, it constantly refers back to the 2003 Gallup Poll, rather than reverting to the more recent... who's skewing the argument now?

By the way, I support abortion when the birth endangers the life of the mother.
