Theorist, I am also doing Calculus and stuff in college right now and I feel the exact same way. I also am amazed by the similarity between dreams and reality. I've been practicing lucid dreaming for about a year now (where you are aware that your dreaming in a dream). When I have free time I really enjoy reading about the concept and how Quantum Mechanics can (kind of) make sense of it.

Let me suggest reading this article. It is an excerpt from a book I am going to read this summer when I get the time.
