I didn't mean that people compared telephone exchanges to neural networks. I meant that back when a telephone exchange was the hottest new technology, people compared the human brain to them.
By way of illuminating the gap between the human brain and neural networks, I don't think anyone has any idea how many layers of a NN the brain corresponds to. Or if it's a meaningful question. I doubt that the brain even has identifiable input and output layers. |
