Loved what you wrote as I couldn't have said it better myself. I never thought I would be one those types of people who becomes such a huge fan of something let alone a movie! Avatar really took me by surprise and I will never forget the moment when I was hooked and how it changed me and my prospective on all things in and around my life.

One of the things I am most thankful for and feel truly blessed about is the most wonderful, caring, and true blue friends I have made in the last year due in part to Avatar. I mean, I have friends from all walks of life all over our beautiful world that I thought I would never have and its all due in part to TOS, AF, TYPEPAD, LEARN NAVI, DEVIANTART and FACEBOOK as that is where our AVATAR friendships started. One beautiful bond we all shared together. WOW...such awesome friends you are and love to you all!

CONGRATS to your ONE YEAR Silver Stag and here's to many, many more my friend!

Hehe, I feel the same way

My Avatar-fascination did not come inside one day. It developed from animosity, to interest and curiosity and finally to a very big fascination and an attitude towards life, completely.

When I saw its trailer for the first time, I narrated stuff like "Never want to see such a science fiction bull****" and so on. If someone would tell me at this time that this movie would become such a great influence to me and my life, I would not believe him.

Anyway, there was a difference to other movies I don't like:
Despite the animosity, I was kind of fascinated of these blue creations, of this world. And of the music.
This was the reason, why I changed my mind, yet: "I want to see it. But only on DVD, 'cause I don't want to pay money for such a film in cinema. At least. This change of mind was a little advance.
Days elapsed and sometime I (FINALLY) had the need to see the movie on the big screen, yet. (Best decision ever)

I saw it on january, the 4th of 2010. After the view, I liked Avatar. Not more. "It's a good movie, but I have not to see it in cinema again"
I didn't know it by this time, but this was the beginning.
All in all, I watched Avatar 16 times in cinema.

But it is more
Since Avatar, my hobbies changed. I modified my attitude towards life and towards the nature. I'm known in cinema xD and in the multimedia-battalion of our big store
Avatar is responsible of my career aspiration and because of this movie, I found new friends, alternatively a very good mate

Avatar is more than a movie. It's part of my life
And it is nice to meet people, who feel the same way
