Default Artists and art with a touch of Pandora

Many artists through the years have drawn and painted pictures of landscapes and environments with a Pandora-like quality. Some of these pictures are simply mesmerizing. Here is one example from Jan Sovak who paints natural history pictures:

The small dinosaur Sinosauropteryx in cretaceous China

Do you have some favourite paintings or painters with a Pandorian touch?

Another painter that depicts motifs from Earths past is Raul Martin. Some of his pictures really have a touch of Pandora:

If we go back in time we have Henri Rousseau (1844-1910) who loved to portrait mystical jungles with a touch of Pandora. He used over 50 different shades of green to paint plants and foliage.

A couple of more paintings

One from Raul Martin:

And one from Mark Hallet:

These paintings depict a world as wild and fascinating as Pandora, and a world that really existed a long time ago.

The rivers would not have been so safe to cross in those times:

Good painting by Raul Martin.

Here is a painting by Jan Sovak who captures a Pandorian feeling, even if it depicts a scene from Earth during the mesozoic:

Here is another stunning image, painted by Kermbeyit, depicting a cretaceous sunset:

I'm afraid I fail to see what's so Pandora-like about those paintings, but okay, here we have a paleo artist who paints dinosaurs with a little more creativity than most: http://www.marshalls-art.com/46758/gallery

I can definitely see "Pandora" in Redpaintednavi's examples of scenery.
