I am sitting here in the Seattle airport reading and rereading all of the posts about our most amazing meetup .... and looking and relooking at all of the most amazing picture memories .... and trying my very best to not cry because I am missing my new Avatar family so much.
![]() We kept telling each other as we were giving "goodbye" hugs that, with each step we are taking away from everyone today, we are taking one step closer to being together again next year. I am almost at a loss for words to express my admiration and affection for everyone who was there .... you are a very remarkable group of passionate individuals and Eywa has blessed me to include me in your circle. "Thank you" to everyone for everything you did to make this magical few days become a reality for us .... special appreciation to Alan, Kevin and Mikko for the huge amounts of your time, your talents and your enthusiasm that you have given us. We are the beginning .... and the best is yet to come!

I felt I needed to say this as I thought about it all day at work.
I wanted to give a HUGE thank you hug out to Mikko, Kevin and Alan for doing such an awesome job in the coordinating, putting in so many hours of researching, photo's etc and pulling all this together the way they did. You guys did a really amazing job. I know it was a combination of all of us doing our own little things to contribute in some way but you three really did a fantastic job and I just wanted to show you all my appreciation and gratitude. Irayo to my Na'vi brothers! WELL DONE!!! ![]() ![]() I was also thinking that most all of us have never met each other until this event so to share hotels rooms with people whom have never actually met in person takes a real leap of faith and trust to share our space with one another and I really felt our group excelled in that area. Guess that really makes us a true family unit after all. I think ma tsmuke Ghaziya really read my mind in her thread and it was beautifully written. Irayo for your beautiful words. Thank you all again for such a wonderful and memorable experience as I will treasure this forever and here's to our next meet-up! I am already excited to be with my Na'vi family again. Oel ngati kameie. ![]()

I definitely agree with you, Ghaziya, and I think you said it perfectly for all of us that were there.
When I get some more work done on my tattoo I'll be sure and post it here, probably in the fanart section. It'll also go in my album, which I need to actually add something to. :p

Well, I'm now in New York having flown from Seattle in the morning and I can't believe it is over
![]() Irayo Ghaziya and Miss Tammie for you kind words they mean a lot to me. Im so glad the hotel turned our so good to us. I know we didn'tUse the itineraries, but they can always can come in for the next time. ![]() Like many have mentioned though this really has been a team effort and all of us have made remarkable contributions even if it is just being there and sharing our company. I want to thank Fiyerwall for organising the clan meal and the transport there and back. I really had great time, especially when Ghaziya ordered some Pu-Pu, and Mikko capturing the best caption photo of the event of Payoang tasting what he had ordered! ![]() Sorry folks that I did not manage to get another video log post up to cover the last couple of days, but it really has been full on...until 2 or 3 in the morning! However, I have been able to put one together covering the last couple of days. We did make it back to the Avatar Exhibition and the staff became so familiar with us that they waved us through! (AWSOME!) CyanRachel got a thank you card for us to sign for the museum which we handed in to be forwarded to Brooks and Kristen who had been so accommodating of us. We also managed to do the aquarium and Raiden was in his element! In fact when some of the visitors were asking about some of the creatures he answered before the staff had chance to say anything - classic! ![]() Before the last few of us left we got a bunch of Avatar coloured flowers and handed them to Rayna at the Travelodge along with the thank you card that everyone had signed. She was really grateful, but after all she and the hotel had done to accommodate us and our needs it was the right thing to do. Three of the nights were spent watching Avatar; the first night was the CE version, the second night was of the making of, and the second night was spent watching the family version, which was entertaining to say the least. And so the last day arrived. We were down to five of us. So having said Kiyevame to Aketuan and Arron, Ghaziya, CyanRachel, Mikko and I made our way to the airport to head for home. Everyone had decided that there will be a next one but as for when, well it will be talked about once our LearnNa'vi friends had had their meet-up on 9th July. I'm sure there will be plenty of discussion over the coming weeks and months. In the meantime the link below should take you to the last of the Seattle meet up videos: ImageShackŪ - Online Photo and Video Hosting Irayo all for making me so welcome in your country. I shall always cherish the time we have been so fortunate to share together. Here's to the then next one...HELL YEAH! Kiyevame my dear friends. Eywa ngahu, Alan |

Irayo again for all the pictures, videos, and accounts of the various goings-on of the weekend. To those of you who have engaged with the SFM staff: I'll be interested to know what becomes of the video shot of the panel discussions, as it would be great to have access to that stuff. Although, if I had to guess at an outcome here, I'd suppose they'll probably incorporate that video into the Exhibit rather than releasing it to the web or anything like that.
Oh well... (I'm still beating myself up about not just pressing the record button on my camera--even with it stowed, I'd at least have gotten the audio!)

Irayo Alan for the kind words about the clan meal. I personally can't stop thinking about those burritos we had at Taco del Mar. Perhaps we should have our next clan meal there.
There was a sign there that said they cater. More importantly, it was also the only place I know of that actually had sweet tea!Aaron, I know I kinda wish I had brought my camera out and 'accidentally' took a picture. I could have faked a sneeze or something.

Indeed...
I'm at school at the moment finishing up some end-of-term things, and I thought I heard James' voice behind me so I turned around, and on the bus I saw someone who looked like they were Tammy because they had similar-looking hair... Oh well. Next year will be here soon enough.

So much fun, so much Avatar goodness! Can't wait till next year when we all meet up again. A big IRAYO to everyone who helped make this Avatar weekend in Seattle possible!
