Looking to buy a Longboard
Hey guys, I'm looking to buy a longboard, if anyone knows much about them. I'm in the 120$ price range, but I could push it up to 150$ if I really had to. I'm looking for a board more for crusing, I'll probably use it to go to class next year in college, and it will sorta take the place of my bike. Like I will be going on 5+ to 10+ mile trips with it, so it should be a good longboard for cruising. I don't plan on doing any tricks, maybe a little carving, or downhill, but mostly cruising.

Well in that case it never hurt to go on Google and find the info you're looking for. And find a place that sells them in your area.

It really depends on the condition of the board, the material used and how many fins it has. A single finned longboard might be a little cheaper but it won't give you as much speed. I'm pretty sure the wooden ones are the most expensive followed by fiberglass ones and then foam ones. (Wood might be really heavy for getting into the surf and turning though)
Plus it might be a bit cheaper if you get a quality used longboard instead of a new one.

I'll read the description carefully next time before rushing out the door. One thought, have you tried any skate shops that have used boards? Alternatively you could buy a street riding skateboard which is a little longer and has bigger wheels for cruising. That or you can scour ebay.

2. THE VENICE - Completes - Categories These two really caught my eye, if anyone knows anything. I think the venice looks freaking sweet, but the bamboo floater has bigger wheels, which could be more useful for cruising, any thoughts on these two?
