JC knows he can get it done, especially after making Avatar. Of course, having the motion capture and having already made Avatar means that a shot can start being produced as soon as the motion capture is done, so there won't be as much of a wait between filming and having a usable film.

All I really want from 2 is a tightly focused story. One was fantastic in regards to setting up the world. It was a great way to establish the (for want of a better word) franchise. Now what we really need is a movie that has a very intricate story. The first one is good, but it has a few plot holes, and a more fridge logic then I care to get into. If the sequel can deal with these then I will be very pleased.

Also adding characters that have a wee bit more depth couldn't hurt, I'm looking at you Jake.

Maybe Jake can have some depth added, especially if the sequel is going to be a long time after the end of Avatar.

There are not any plot holes. Seriously, the only problem is 2-3 things which you need to read the survival guide for. Every time someone's tried to claim one, I have disproved them

JC's attention to detail is amazing, the only actual mistake is one or two live action shots where character positions change between shots, but no actual problems with the actual plot.

First thing...I have no hate for Avatar at all. But I really wish I could post this massive email chain my friend and I have. We have literally spent a year plus just pulling Avatar apart....it makes my head hurt. There are really no huge plot holes, but there are lots of little annoying ones.

I'm sure they're ones I've argued with people elsewhere - I'm sure that if many people here came across a discussion I've had on some sites, they'd recognise me. I've actually recently been thinking of making a proper post to disprove every misconception/general failure around Avatar in a single place.
